My Music Review Page

My INTERACTIVE music review Page

Yes I think everyones homepage should have some mention of the amazingly cool world of music, so heres mine.

I want to make this page different though so I'm asking anyone who wants, to write about their fav album and e-mail it to me, complete with group name and the name of the album. I'll then stick it on my page with your name and where you come from (if you want that is!!!) etc and hopefully I'll have a totally interactive music page that anyone will find interesting!!!

I'm not fussy when it comes to music, I literally like most things although I don't particularly like classical or opera, but thats just personal taste!!!

I like heavier groups like Greenday, Offspring, Bonjovi, Def Leppard, as well as 60's music, yes I've got "the Best of" CD, AND like it.

More modern stuff like Oasis, Blur, Republica ( I even like a couple of Take Thats songs, tho' Robbies new album is well cool), etc, etc, etc the list just goes on, oh yeah and Savage Garden.

So I'll start off by reviewing this groups new album.

Below are some recent ablums that I've bought:-

Savage Garden

This, in my opinion is a great album featuring 11 of the groups songs. When I heard their first single I Want You, I loved it.

Since then they have released 2 other singles:- "Truly, Madly, Deeply" and "To the moon and back" being the latest.

Apart from these singles the album is full of other decent tracks including softer stuff like track 5: "Universe" and track 11:"Santa Monica" as well as faster and more "powerful" stuff like track 6: "Carry on Dancing", track 8:"Break me, shake me"and track 9: "A thousand words".

A definite "go-get" for anyone who likes chart music thats neither Indie, or Rock.

Catatonia:- International Velvet

This group were relatively small when they came to Bradford uni about a year ago, but over the last year they have really hit the charts with hit singles "Mulder and Scully", "Road Rage", and the new single (which I thinks the best one!!!)"Strange Glue".

This album has alot of good material apart from the released singles. Other tracks that I particularly like are "I am the Mob", "Johnny Come Lately", and "Don't need the sunshine" (this track being my personal favourite on the whole album!!!).11 tracks on this album, but worth it!!!

The Godzilla Soundtrack

It's not often that I've heard so much about a soundtrack album. But, with 2 hit singles released since to movie (in Jamiriqui's "Deeper Under ground", and the interesting mix of Puff Daddy and Jimmy Page for "Come with me") and a smattering of older released material, like the WallFlowers cover of the David Bowie track "Hereos", it makes for a good listen.

When news first broke out about Jimmy Page getting together with Puff Daddy there was an apparent uproar with Pages fans thinking that it'd damage him in someway, but although I'm not a huge fan of either of these artists I definitely think it was a success (and so do most the people who bought it as it hit the UK pretty well!!!)

James: The Best of

I love the distinctively energetic sound of James.

This album features alot of James' best material over the years, and is a big hit with me!!!

Singles like "Sit down", "She's a Star", Waltzing Along", "Say Something", and "Runaground" are featured on this album along with other tracks like "Tommorrow" and their new release "Destiny Calling" (which is a class track!!!).
