PROGRAM

Students entering the Graphic Arts/Computer Graphics Program became familliar with other majors in the communication Arts area: Radio/TV Broadcasting, Journalis, and Typesetting/Production.

Art, Business, Communication Arts, and Journalism department courses comprise the primary course work through assisting with the campus newspaperl magazine, radio station, TV studio, or computer graphics lab prpoduction.

For those already employed in the graphic world, the program offers an opportunity for updating career informationa and skills. The program includes on the job training in the Coperative Education Department. This is an excellent way to gain experience and expertise in the world of graphics while earning college units.

The Graphics course include: typography, comping, mechanicals, paste up, photo scaling and cropping, printing, copy fitting, compute graphics, process camera, stats, and color separation. Emphasis will be on pportfolio development.

ASSOCIATE IN ARTS DEGREE

Students cam earn an AA degree upon completion of a curruiculum of 64.5 semester units which includes major dield courses and ellectives, and general education requirements. Selected credits obtained in the A>A> curriculum transfer to four year colleges and universities.

CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT

By sucessfully completing the courses listed below, students may earn a Certificate of Achievement.
