Alpha Chi Omega said goodbye to a cherished member and housemother when Edna Rush retired after working for the sorority for 16 years.

In 1991, members petitioned the National Chapter for permission to initiate Rush into the sorority. Their request was approved, and in a ceremony before family and friends, Rush became a new member

Her retirement party was held at the Alpha Chi house on April 24 with many past and present Alpha Chi's, other KSU housemom's, and Mom's family present. Mom was presented with many gifts including a painting of the Alpha Chi house done by an Alpha Chi dad, Gil Rumsey.

A new housemom has been hired and although it will be great for the chapter, Mom Rush will definitly be missed.
