The object of this Gamma-Beta Prime Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity is to promote excellence in all aspects of the lives of its Brothers. The environment of this Gamma-Beta Prime Chapter creates a Brotherhood that is unparalleled. Lifelong friendships have been, are being, and will continue to be formed. Diligence in the classroom has always been a focal point of Kappa Sigma. Through the basic organization of the Gamma-Beta Prime Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, it will help its brothers grow mentally, expand socially, develop leadership, improve scholastics, and help its Brothers become the best that they can be while on campus as well as when they take their places in communities after graduation.
We've put together an excellent Brotherhood Blender earlier this semester, an awesome pledge dance (Blackout 2001), a incredible pledge retreat (even though the camping was rained out and was moved to the basement), a Brotherhood video scrapbook, and looking forward to PI week.
The Brotherhood Development Committee is headed by a two person co-chair, they are Nathan Goebel - Pledge Educator and Anthony Egizi - Scholarship Chair. The Committee consists of Nick Fiore, Dave Claiborn, Pat Rykhus, Brok Jackson, and Sean Tully.
The pledge educator's main responsibility is to teach the pledges the history of Kappa Sigma and what it means to be a Kappa Sigma. This is done through various brotherhood activities as well as short quizzes on the relevant material in Kappa Sigma history.
The scholarship chair established study tables for the pledges in the library twice a week that turned out to be very successful. He also worked with the entire house with things like A/B list and word of the week.
