Gamma-Beta Prime Chapter

Relations Committee

The Relations Committee semester is responsible for community service, relations with alumni and others outside of the fraternity. The Relations Committee for the Spring 2001 is headed by the Assistant Grand Scribe Michael Heger. His committee consists of Matt Lile, Jared Holtmeyer, Joe Johns, and Adam Hart.

For community services the men of Kappa Sigma gained hours in a variety community events, such as set building at Richland Community College for Millikin University Theatre Departmant, Coaches Vs Cancer Shootout (where we came out and supported our shooter, Ryan Kenny, at the game). Also we had a successful clothing Drive on campus as well as a food drive. Also members of the house were involved in various other community service projecrts through Millikin University and Senior Capstones, including a bowlathon for the Nick Schwalback Scholarship. Mike had a tough semester to follow with not having the annual Great American Smokeout that happens in the fall but he did a fantastic job anyways.

In the fall semester of 2000, present grand scribe Jon Bassford and his committee raised OVER 1,000 HOURS of community service. This is an outstanding number considering we do not live together last semester. Brother Bassford should be applauded by the alumni and the actives for a job that was much more than just well done!
