---- Bram Stoker, Dracula
But have it ever occurred to you that vampires are also creatures with feelings and soul? No, they are not just mere mindless, blood-sucking monsters who roam about at night luring innocent people away to feast upon their very essence of life -- blood -- like a wild animal. They have a heart and a soul just like most people do. They can laugh, cry, love, hate and feel all the very same emotions we do. The only difference is that they possesses strange powers, and they can't die. Their souls are trapped within their bodies during their death, or in other words, the transformation from hman to vampire. These poor souls are damned forever, bound within their dead but undecaying bodies, and can never reach to the realms of the dead. But these creatures are not necessarily evil. There are of course bad vampires who victimize innocent people heartlessly and mercilessly, but there are also good vampires who only feed upon bad people's blood and care for other creatures(including human).
Unfortunately, there are always more bad vampires than the good ones. And the duty of putting justice to these blood-thirsty creatures falls upon the Light Warriors. These Light Warriors are immortals themselves, just like the vampires. A Light Warrior is bound by the Oath of Immortality, which is the spell that gives them powers to execute the evil, yet powerful creatures who put the lives of innocent and defenseless people at stake. A Light Warrior not only execute vampires, but also any other evil creatures that endangers others' lives. That includes all sorts of spirits or ghosts, vampires, zombies, goblins, demons, devils and all other creatures that fall into the catagory of Creatures of the Night. A Light Warrior is chosen every century, as to maintain justice to the creatures of the human realm. After a century or so the Light Warrior may choose to retire and reincarnate into another human being, or simply release the Oath of Immortality and live on as a human for the rest of his/her life without reincarnating.
