Born on January 12, 1964, Shri B. J. Panda, Chairman, Board of Governors, TTTI (ER), Calcutta did his B.S. from the Michigan Technological University, USA in 1985 but dynamicas he is, he started gaiming experience in Sales in Southwestern Organisation from 1982, when he was only 18. Subsequently ,after having two years of experience in Financial Rrestructuring in New York (1985-87), Shri Panda joined the General Management Team of IMFA Group, India, which has operations in Smelters, Mining, Power-Generation and Air-Charters, and a start-up Telecom subsidiary. Shri Panda is presently holding the Chair of the Joint Managing Director (Deputy CEO) in Indian Metals & Ferroalloys Ltd (IMFA). Apart from being the Director, Board of Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Orissa Ltd (IPICOL), a member on the Board of Governors, Xavier Institute of Management (XIM) Bhubaneswar and a member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Calcutta, Shri Panda is also actively associated with various International and, National bodies such as international Chromi'um Development Association (ICDA), Paris, Eastern Regional Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) etc. A member of Wings Club, New York, Shri Panda has a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) to his credit and he enjoys adventure activities like Skydiving , Bungee jumping etc.
