Review: After reading this novel, I felt rewarded and moved. It is a love story, an adventure, and a spying glass into the depths of the human condition. This reward was long overdue though, having to read 449 pages of almost cluttered imagery and eloquent diction. If you have got enough time to read this book thoroughly, then you will love this foray into Southern American life.
