In this page, I will present to you things that I've thought about, things that I've read and things that have been told to me (not jokes). Basically, this page will contain a hodge-podge mixture of various things as they come to mind and I find time to write them down. I think this page might give you some insight into who I am, which might be scary so you have been warned. Anyway, find what you will in the following articles and enjoy.

The Tioman Experience. I went to Tioman Island in April 1998. Tioman Island is a tropical island located off the east coast of Pahang, Malaysia. To the casual bystander or tourist, Tioman is an idyllic tropical island get-away. There are white sandy beaches, swaying coconut trees, coral reefs with their colourful inhabitants and bright blue skies. Well, the island may offer all this, but traveller beware! All is not what it seems. So come read my experience of Tioman Island and find out what I found out.

This is a poem by Stan Gebhardt that I read in the book 'A 2nd Helping of Chicken Soup for the Soul'. The poem is about bringing up a child, the mistakes that a parent made and the yearning of a child. Though I've yet to have my own little rug-rats, I found this poem touching and in a way, sad. At first, I thought that I would not like the book, being a soppy, yuppy type of book, especially after reading the introduction. After reading the book, I found that the stories and poems contained within touched my soul. In our daily lives, we sometimes forget the important things in life and this book reminded me of them.

Can 1,000 Daim Zainuddins ever be worth 1,000 Indonesian maids? I have many frustrations about the state Malaysia is in. Malaysia is my country of birth, and it has terrific potential. That is why it very frustrating for me to see it in the state that it is in. This article is by M.G. Pillai and was forwarded to me through email. It voices some of the frustration I feel for the country.
