Windows Explorer Make sure the
toolbar is in view (Choose Toolbar from View menu) Copy Files Drag the icon of the file you want to copy and drop it where you want to put it. HINT: It is always a good idea to hold down the RIGHT mouse button when you drag and drop. It will give you a choice to move, copy or create shortcut. OR: Click once on what you want to copy, choose EDIT/COPY , click on where you want to put it and choose EDIT/PASTE (Or use icons from toolbar) You can open two
Windows Explorer windows and size them smaller so Delete Files Click on the file
you want to delete (Highlight it) and press DELETE key Rename Files In Windows Explorer, highlight the file you want to rename and pull down the FILE menu and choose RENAME (Type a new name) Exit Windows
Click on Start Button ClipboardØ Whenever you cut (Edit/Cut or Ctrl X) or copy (Edit/Copy or Ctrl C) something it is put on the “clipboard” – a temporary holding area. What is on the clipboard can then be pasted in any program. (Edit/Paste or Ctrl V)Ø Printscreen – By pressing the printscreen key you take a “snapshot” of the desktop and that is put in the clipboard, which can later be pasted in any program. (Edit/Paste or Ctrl V) Ø Alt – Printscreen – If you hold down the ALT key when you press the printscreen key, you will take a “snapshot” of the current window (the one where your cursor is located). Edit/Paste to print a picture of the window in any other program.
