Various Artists - "Cheapskates - HARD Side"

This album starts out with a new song from Project-86 ("One Armed Man"). It's an awesome song. This version of the song is limited and the one on the upcoming album is gonna be different. There is also some hip-hop/rap by Sup the Chemist and Furthermore. I guess the rap fan will think it's good but i wouldn't know. There are some new demo's from Squad Five-o, Ghoti Hook, and AP2. Squad Five-O's song ("We Rule The Night") is in my opinion an awesome song, with an awesome bass line, tight drums, and blazing glam-rock styled guitars. Their new glam-punk sound is awesome. Ghoti Hook's new song ("Mach 3") is going towards a more rock sound, with 3 guitars again. It's an awesome song and i can't wait for the new album to be released. AP2 is like an indescribable sound that is kinda weird but cool. There is also new work from Blindside, it's an awesome song. It's not rap-core, but it's hip-hop hardcore. The vocals are pretty hardcore, but they're rapped, very cool.

And my favorite song on this comp. is "Go-go To The Graveyard" by the Deadlines. It's punk rock, with influences of the Misfits in not only the music but the songwriting, the first line of the song is "zombies, zombies coming for you..." It's an awesome song, with an electric organ, awesome guitars and vocals, and the drums and bass are totally hot. There's also some cool stuff by Zao, Living Sacrifice, Element101, Slick Shoes (awesome song), and HUNTINGTONS.

Overall, this album gets a 9 out of 10. The only problem is the rap. I really don't get it. But i highly recommend this album. It's only $1.99 but it's so much better than that.
