I didn't know one single Strongarm song before I ordered this album, so I took a chance with that. But, as always, Tooth & Nail didn't let me down : from the beginning to the end this album rocks!
!PURE HARDCORE!
Listen yourself to songs about darkness, pain and hatred
being overcome with the help of God. In words that can't be misunderstood, Strongarm makes
clear that you can choose the right way, but that "terror will seize you, the hour of
judgement will come". My favorite song (best music AND best lyrics) is "Advent
Of A Miracle".
With Chris Carbonells "howling" voice, you must get a load of adrenaline when you hear this. It's amazing how these guys manage to make songs filled with changes in the speed of drums and fast guitars that can suddenly slow down.. The songs keep changing speed etc. and aren't predictable. Take the song "Supplication". It begins with a great sound, very nice drums, and after about a minute and a half, it is over. At least, that's what you'd expect. There's silence for a moment, which seems to be a quite long silence, but that's just because the song is so full of fast music that your ears aren't used to the quietness that happens then... Then the song goes on again: you can hear, that it goes with the first part of the song, but Strongarm also manages to change the song completely (as said, without losing "touch" with the first part of the song). That's not just with this song, they do this all the time. Great!
Strongarm made a great album here, with great music!
