The
debut of these three old punkrockers was one of the old albums I didn’t have
in my collection, so I decided to buy it. The 7 songs on this EP have been
recorded in august of 1995, but they could have been recorded in 1985 as well...
I mean: this album almost sounds antique! 80’s punkrock as you find it on
those 80’s punkrock-compilations. So, to call this “the newest advancements
in recorded music”, as stated on the cover, might be a bit exaggerated. All
you hear is: Rock ‘n’ roll, the 50’s, combined with nasal voice of Bruce
Lund, who could have been part of the Ramones or The Sex Pistols, back in the
80’s.
So, now you know what this band sounds like! The next
question is: how good is this album? All I can say is: very good !! These guys
really know how to play their instruments. It might not be difficult to play,
but especially the guitar-parts are not bad at all. Overall, I like this album,
but the punkrock of the 90’s like MxPx, Ghoti Hook, Greenday and NoFx is more
my style, I guess... I give it 7,2 points out of 10.
Check
out their new album, available through T&N Mailorder !! For fans of old,
snotty punk’n’roll at it’s worst!
