Gen. 2:9  And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. [NKJV]1

Gen. 2:17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." [NKJV]
Gen. 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?" [NKJV]
Gen. 3:2 And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; [NKJV]
Gen. 3:3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" [NKJV]
Gen. 3:4  The the serpent said to the woman, "You shall not surely die. [NKJV]
Gen. 3:5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." [NKJV]
Gen. 3:6  So when the woman saw the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. [NKJV]

Rom. 10:14 How then shall they call upon Him into whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe into Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without one who proclaims Him? [RV] 
Rom. 10:15 And how shall they proclaim Him unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the news of good things!" [RV]
Rom. 10:17  So faith comes out of hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. [RV] 
Eph. 1:4  Even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blemish before Him in love, [RV]
