Environmental engineering wing

Facilities/Set-Up available

  1. Atomic absorption spectrophotometer - for analysis of about 13 elements viz. Cu, Fe, Pb, Zn
  2. Gas chromatographer - for both air , water analysis
  3. Lab scale models for carrying out physical chemical and biological treatability studies in the field of water engineering , especially industrial waste water treatment

  1. Design / verification of stability for various minor irrigation tanks , for irrigation department , government of Maharashatra.
  2. Site exploration and determination of safe bearing capacity / allowable bearing pressure for sites of various sugar factories in western Maharashatra .
  3. Determination of S.B.C / A.B.P for sites of various co operative spinning mills in western Maharashatra .
  4. Verification of field compaction ( compaction control ) for the roads / approaches / embankments etc. for P.W.D & irrigation department , Govt. . of Maharashatra .
  5. Assessing suitability of earth material for manufacture of bricks, construction of * casting in earth dams ,design of filters / drains etc.
