Little About The Department

Computer Science Department is the latest addition to the WCE. Department offers full time and part time graduate, post graduate and diploma courses. It has well equipped computer center and project laboratory. The departmental set-up is connect to the internet via ERNET-VSAT connection.

1. M.E. (Computer Engineering)
Duration : One and Half years.
Seats : 15 students.
2. B.E. (Computer Science and Engineering)
Duration : Four years.
Seats : 60 students per year.

Seats : 10 Students.
2. Diploma in Computer Science
Duration : One year.
Seats : 40 Students.

• The department has managed to receive e-mail connection through NIC NET (National Informatics Centre) with email address walchand@mah.nic.in. This is being successfully operated by the department
• department* The department has setup ERNET-VSAT connection for INTERNET access. Email address is cse@wces.ernet.in. The INTERNET facility at this institute is being successfully maintained by this department.
• The department has setup INTRANET to interconnect all other major departments in this institute using LINUX operating system on a dedicated HP netserver.

Consultancy/Project Work

• The department has received a grant of Rs. 6.0 lakhs from All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, New Delhi to set up a laboratory in "Parallel Processing and Distributed Computing". The laboratory is being setup. The department has received another grant from AICTE, Delhi to setup laboratory in "Graphics and Computer Vision".
