Little About The Department

Mechanical Engineering Department has a great reputation in Industry. It reflects in the number of companies visiting the campus each year for Graduate Trainee Engineers recruitment. The Department faculty includes highly qualified and reputed professors. The department offers Diploma, Bachelor's and Master's courses in Mechanical Engineering. Three specilizations, namely Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering and Mechanical Design Engineering, are offered at the Masters level. Department has excellent infrastructure, recently updated with its own computer center.

Mech. Engg. Dept. has developed more than 300 charts useful for Degree and Diploma level instructional work. These were supplied to many Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges all over the State. Dept. has also developed models useful for instructions in Engineering Graphics. A Set of 73 models was supplied to more than 50 Institutions all over the State. Recently department has developed a set of 11 experimental set ups for Heat Transfer laboratory and this set of equipments is supplied to 5 Engineering Colleges in the State.
