The School Motto & Badge...
-
Motto : NIL SINE LABORE
-
This is a latin expression which means NOTHING
WITHOUT HARD WORK.
-
-
Colour : YELLOW
-
It is the most luminous of the primary colours. In
the South East Asian regions, it symbolises Royalty. To Royalty
is attributed such qualities as excellence, rank, title and the worth of
a man. The sum total of these is DIGNITY. Excellence is never granted
to man but as the reward for labour but in striving for that excellence
there must be concern for others and this concern should be founded on
the basis of a high regard for their welfare and a respect for the dignity
of human life. So YELLOW in our context stands for DIGNITY.
-
-
Colour : RED
-
This colour symbolises UNIVERSAL
BROTHERHOOD AND EQUALITY OF MAN.
-
-
Item : BOOK
-
Books are the tools with which knowledge is most
rapidly and successfully acquired. Since all that mankind has ever thought
or accomplished is preserved in the pages of books, they confer and intellectual
and spiritual wealth that cannot be defined. The OPEN BOOK is thus symbolic
of KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM that one acquires
in an institution of learning.
-
-
Item : TORCH
-
The torch symbolizes TRUTH
and the PASSING ON OF A TRADITION.
An educational institution with a long history will always have a rich
tradition to pass on and at the same time it ILLUMINATES
THE WAY for those who will be able to carry its fame and reputation
beyond the shores of Singapore.

Our
Church...
The first Kampong Kapor Methodist Church congregation
was inaugurated on Thursday January 25, 1894. In 1994, our church celebrated
the Centennial with a new church logo.
The logo has been conceived to illustrate deeper
sentiments. The Clasped Hands signify
a united and praying church; the hands are positioned to form the shape
of a Heart to signify a caring church;
the central Cross indicates a church
obedient to Christ; and the colour Red
represents the blood of Christ which reminds
us of His love for the church and the world at large.
For more information on the life of our church,
please visit our church's website.
