champion...has competed in 6 World Indoor Championships winning gold over 60m in 1993 and 1995...won the silver
medal over 100m at the 1995 World Championships in Goteborg, Sweden and 1999 Championships in Seville, Spain...held
the 100m Canadian record of 10.02 from 1993-1995, until it was broken by Donovan Bailey. Bruny tied Bailey's record
of 9.84 at the 1999 World Championships...injured the cartilage in his left knee at the 1994 Francophone Games
in Paris and had arthroscopic knee surgery just prior to the 1994 Commonwealth Games...started competing in long
jump and triple jump in 1986, but switched to sprinting in 1989 because of recurring ankle and hamstring problems...his
sprinting breakthrough came in 1989 when he won the Canadian Championships in a time of 10.14 seconds and then
