ETERNAL THOUGHTS...

- Once a man rejects the truth, he'll believe just about anything.
- Keep you eyes on Jesus and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of
his glory and grace.
- You could be in hell a million billion years, and eternity isn't even one second old. The
temporal pleasures of this world aren't worth it.
- Don't worry about what man thinks of you, worry about what God thinks of you.
- No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace.
- When Jesus died on the cross, he died not for men, but for each man. If each man
had been the only man made, He would have done no less.
- We have no cause to be ashamed of the gospel of Christ, but the gospel of Christ may justly
be ashamed of us.
- Contentment isn't getting what you want - it's being happy with what you have.
- When confronted with a Goliath size problem, how do you respond? Saying this is to big to
hit, or like David, thinking this is too big to miss.
- Empty your life, to allow God room to enter in. A self-center life is empty, while an empty
life has room for God.
- If you are a Christian, this is the closest you will ever be to hell. If you are not a Christian,
this is the closest you will ever be to heaven.
- If being a Christian was a crime, would they have enough evidence to convict you.
- As Christians, we may be the only Bible that some people ever read. We should live are
lives accordingly.
- The way to know God is not merely to assemble correct thoughts and notions of him in our
mind, which remain mere intellectual concepts. It is to live with him; to have first hand
experience of him, to let what we have been told about him have its chance to do for us, and in
us, what it can.
- Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, just as standing in the garage doesn't make
you a car.
- Going seven days without reading the Bible makes one weak.
- The Bible is spiritual food. Chew it. Savor it. Don't just gulp it down. It's better to slowly
read five verses and meditate on them, than read five chapters and not really remember them.
- Just as you never outgrow your need for food, you never outgrow the need for reading the
Bible (spiritual food), prayer and fellowship.
- Jesus is The Light of the world, that means that he, and he alone, can illuminate the dark
mystery of man's existence and give his life meaning, purpose and destiny.
- Don't follow Jesus from afar, follow closely. Peter followed from afar, and then denied
him.
- If God isn't real why do people spend so much time trying to prove he's not real. I don't
believe in Santa Claus or the tooth fairy, but I don't spend all my time trying to disprove
them.
- People who say they've tried Christ but it didn't work are like the person who was sick and
went to the doctor, was prescribed medicine, went home and tossed the unopened medicine in the
corner, and proceeded to get sicker. Someone asked them why they don't go to a doctor, the
person said "I tried that but it didn't work."
- Your walk talks, and your talk talks, but your walk should talk louder than your talk
talks.
- When you flee temptation, don't leave a forwarding address.
- Playing with temptation is like putting your fingers into a fire and praying they won't get
burned.
- Don't OVER estimate sin's power, but don't UNDER estimate it either.
- One reason sin flourishes is because people treat it as a cream puff instead of a
rattlesnake.
- You can't stop temptation from knocking on your door, but you don't have to open it.
- Jesus came to pay a debt he did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay.
- Although grace is free to us, it cost Jesus his life.
- You need a ticket to get to heaven, but you can't afford it. The Good News is that God gives it to you FREE, just for asking him.
- Faith without works is as useless as a screen door on a submarine.
- Don't be so busy with the things of the Lord, that you forget the Lord of the things.
- We may not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future.
- Heaven, don't miss it for the World.
- God answers knee mail.
- It's hard to stumble when you're on your knees.
- Try Jesus, if you don't like him the devil will take you back.
- Life is fragile, handle with prayer.
