John Starks

"I've seen some players come and go who had more talent, but they didn't play as hard, they didn't work as hard and they didn't care as much as John does." -Dave Checketts

Hi! John Starks is my favorite basketball player. The Knicks are (obviously) my favorite team in the NBA. There are only two other web pages on John Starks that I know of, his bio page at NBA.com, and another site with some kewl pictures of 'The Dunk'. If you know of any others, send me some email! I've got some more pics of other players (including Ewing) here.

    Notes:
  • Yes, John Starks is 6'3" and not 6'5". Many players are listed at heights they aren't really. So don't email me saying 'Ooh, I can't believe you don't even know how tall he is!'
  • I am *not* John Starks, I cannot get you autographs, I cannot send you shoes etc, etc.
  • Please *read* this page before sending me email.

This place has some great pics of 'the dunk'.

I've found out what the 'DS' stands for- Apparently, it's from the initials of Derrick Smith, an assistant coach of John who died, and Starks wears the band in his memory.
Nice shooting form from the Oak-man!

Here's a cool ascii version of the Statue of Liberty.
