An excellent all-around athlete with a tall, strong body....Limited to just two appearances in his first two seasons due to shoulder injury....Now healthy, has good velocity on his fastball, and throws a breaking ball and a change-up. 2007: Enjoyed his first healthy season as a Yellow Jacket....Led Tech rotation with a 3.58 ERA....retired all nine batters he faced in relief 2/23 vs. Duquesne....went the distance on a five-hit shutout 3/21 at Georgia State....followed that up with career-high 10 strikeout performance in eight-inning effort vs. Georgia Southern 3/27....also recorded 10 strikeouts in 5.2 inning outing vs. NC State 4/21....selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 16th round of the June Draft....helped Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox to Cape Cod League championship during the summer....worked a scoreless inning as the starting pitcher for the East Division in the Cape Cod League All-Star Game 7/28 at Wareham....Member of the 2007 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2005: Made collegiate debut with his only appearance of the season 3/25 at Miami before having season-ending shoulder surgery....awarded red-shirt due to shoulder injury. High School: A four-year letter-winner at Hiram High School....Received the varsity pitching award all four years....Also a four year letterman as a quarterback at Hiram....Played summer ball with the East Cobb Yankees in 2003 and 2004, winning the Connie Mack world Series in 2003 when he posted an 8-1 record and 1.69 ERA in 57.2 innings.
