The first goal that Hapoel Haifa conceded this season, was scored by Nissim Cohen, 43.5-years-old player of Maccabee Yaffa who became a legend a long time ago - he headed the ball bounced by Sandy Valentinic, over the hands of Dudu Awwat. However, Hapoel Haifa didn't give Yaffa many more reasons for joy, as it still was the team to score first and last. Liron Basis managed to convert a great goal pass by Giovanni Rosso into a fantastic goal shot from 18 meters under the bar, and Oren Nissim scored his first goal for the leaders, after a hesitance of Yaffa's keeper Irakliy Zoidze.

That was hard to believe how Hapoel Beit-Shean could suck, until this game; however, you still needed to be Hapoel Petakh-Tikwa in its best to score 7 goals. Moti Kakun reached the number of 10 goals this season, scoring the 2nd goal after a huge mistake of Meir Cohen and the 3rd one with a great shot from 18 meters; the first goal of Reuven Attar, the first goal of Kakun and the goal of Alon Maya were scored in one-to-one stands with the keeper, and the rest of the goals entered the net from the hard-angled shots. Beit-Shean had several chances of its own, and the most incredible one belonged to Sergen Culakovic - standing 3 meters in front of an empty net near its center, he somehow managed to send the ball into the post. If you want to do it deliberately, you will surely fail.

Maccabee Herzliya wasn't bad, especially after the entrance of the Armenian forward Hamlet Mchitarian, but it suffered from a certain hesitance in its midline (Ivanov, Niederhaus, Asulin) and a very bad day of its keeper Shuli Gilardi. Offer Shitrit managed to overplay the keeper after Jean Talesnikov's goal pass, and 5 minutes before the break, Gilardi failed to stop the mighty header of Amir Shelakh after the bounce of Istvan Hamar. A bad save of Itzhak Korenfein from the free kick of Guy Gat gave Oren Dantziger a chance to reduce the score with a diving header into an empty net, and Herzliya looked better in those minutes, but failed to score. 10 minutes from time, Yossi Abuksis released a cannon free kick from 27 meters, and Gilardi parried it badly into his own net, 1:3. Here Herzliya was broken, and Beitar scored another goal, through a fantastic shot from 18 meters of the fresh substitute Nir Sevilla.

Actually, Hapoel Tel-Aviv was better throughout the game, but it conceded the 1st goal that can enter any "Moments Of Shame" program - Yaniv Avvargeal managed to kidnap the ball, 40 meters from the hosts' net, passed 2 non-existent defenders, entered the box where another 2 helped him to regain the ball and to run between them, and finally released a weak shot that passed between the hands of Shavit Elimelekh to his post and in. And Hapoel spat blood until it finally managed to score - but those were 3 goals in just 8 minutes, through the flat far-ranger of Eyal Ben-Ami, and the personal skills of Assaf Tubi and Sebastian Simerotic in the box. Sagi Strauss, Kefar-Saba's keeper, indeed failed to save any point to his team, but his once-in-a-lifetime save from the deadly header of Ron Nakhman was something to hold your breath about. Mario Masterovic, the Croatian player of Kefar-Saba, was sent off after a foul on him; he just spat on Davor Rupenik in retaliation.

This game will mostly be remembered for an extraordinary goal of Alberto Naveda - Amir Turgeman and Liran Strauber crashed 35 meters from the net and were lying on the ground, Strauber recovered first and ran back to his net, but could only watch the incredible arched ball of Naveda from 52 meters (!), which entered his net! However, Hapoel Jerusalem managed to equalize twice and then to take the lead that was enough for the victory - Akakiy Devadze gave a wonderful game and saved his team from humiliation, but was beaten in the dying seconds by "The Man Of The Game", Joseph Costelnik. The controversial referee Sabi Elnekawe showed again 2 red cards - a 2nd yellow card to Adir Tobol and a red card to Victor Pacha. This is a real pity the great forward of the Reds kicked Eyal Almoshnino from behind and was rightly sent off, spoiling the impression a bit after scoring 2 beautiful goals.

Maccabee Haifa gave its fans some great expectations before the 2nd leg vs SV Ried, after a flawless victory over the mostly attractive Maccabee Petakh-Tikwa. An incredible goal pass of Yossi Benayoun met the volley of Alon Mizrahi in a turn from 10 meters to the far corner of Ohad Cohen. Arik Benado made a goal pass to the header of Radovan Romatko, and the substitute Avishai Zhano gave a goal pass to another header of Mizrahi, 3:0. 10 minutes from time, when Alon Mizrahi got his applauses and was substituted by Ibrahim Doro, the Bosnian midfielder raised a ball to an unstoppable header of Yossi Benayoun; the ball deflected from the bar to the ground and outside, only to be put inside by Adoram Keisi, but even the first header of Benayoun landed after the line and was counted, 4:0.

A very unfortunate mistake of Alexander Zhidkov after the free kick shot of Alon Offir enabled Maccabee Tel-Aviv to score a winning goal in this quite eventless game. Both teams had some chances, but were well denied later on by the veterans of the Soviet keeping, Alexander Zhidkov and Alexander Uvarov.

An incredible shot of Yossi Alpiya from 18 meters nearly broke the bar of Yaniv Mizrahi, and later on, a shot of Yossi Madar was parried by the keeper to the bar; however, it was still Bnei-Yehuda to open the score, after a goal of Yossi Gordana. But Bnei-Yehuda's David Liberman was sent off with his 2nd yellow card, and Rishon took its numeric advantage to win the game. Rafi Cohen and Udi Kabudi scored from inside the box, and then Rafi Cohen managed to use a rude mistake of Shaul Smadja and scored the last goal. Bnei-Yehuda seems really to have some problems.
