The Rock Star was a controversial fellow With a guitar of black and yellow. His facial features were very rough He looked like an ape and just as tough. The music that he wrote was loud and crude. Adults found it to be irksome and rude. His lyrics dealt with the obscene Which caused the sensors to scream Out in a display of hate But the youth thought he was great For the young saw him as a star, But the old considered him outlandish by far. His band consisted of four But the teens found them a bore. The adolescent girls would rave over his bod While the boys thought him to be a god. And a concert would be this god's church Where teens would go in search Of jumping up and dancing around And maybe even getting slammed into the ground. But this ecclesiastical fool enjoyed an occasional smoke Of something that would make people choke. Getting "pepped-up" was something he regularly did He would encourage others, even a kid. Yes, even alcohol he would promote too With a saying like "I drink and so should you!" And so the parents wanted him banned An idea that did not seem grand To the young cult which followed his ways They did not want to see the end of his days. But as hard the parents tried, they could not stop His immense popularity which would not drop. And so about this fellow I can say no more I must, you'll think me a bore. T H E E N D
