Early sharpness turn decisive
HIFK hasnīt played this well since Jan 3 vs Jokerit.
Skating, skating and skating is what has lacked from the game this year. Yesterday skating opened opportunities early on and with a little luck included HIFK was 3-0 up after 6 minutes.
Despite controlling the puck most of the game K-Espoo couldnīt capitalise more than three times and HIFK mistakes were largely accountable for the creation of these opportunities.
Players that had been in the doldrums for most of the season stepped up their play and were decisive, especially Sihvonen and Bisset scoring two each were positive surprises.
