Further injuries and yesterdays tough game deck IFK

Todays line-up posted only two (#14 Kutznetsov and #34 Ahola) regular defenders. Out were injured Lehtonen and Kultanen and suspended Linna and Karalahti. Young #36 Santeri Heiskanen played despite a shoulder injury.

#22 C Mika Kortelainen was back after his one game suspension and gave HIFK the lead late in the first on a brilliant through pass by Niklas Eriksson.

That turned out to be the only goal HIFK scored and as two powerplay goals were conceded in the second and a further two in the third it was all over with not much of an effort.

Play was hampered by the ref who did not allow any tougher tactics and subsequently the penalty box became very familiar to the Big Red Cats. Obviously the Jokerit victory took its toll on the concentration, and the injury situation is starting to take its toll.

Next game Thursday at home vs Ilves ( the main contenders in the table)
