POOR PERFORMANCE - underestimating opponent almost cost the points
Bottom team Saipa didnīt inspire HIFK to any heroics. A boring contest that
was goalless until the 35 minute mark. Finally HIFK collected the points with a couple of lucky
bounces from (c) Mika Kortelainen, who never gave up. The last nail in the coffin came from Juri Kutznetsov
who had a solid game.
Backup goalie, Jan Lundell, played well in his career 1st league game.
