A memorable game not thanks to the level of hockey, but due to the pre-game ceremonies. The actual game was OK, but Saipa were so taken by the delayed start and the "national anthem" that they did not get around to play hockey until in the second period. HIFK was already up 4-0 and it was an impossible task for Saipa got close in the deficit.

Davidsson assisted on the first three goals as special teams, yet again, proved to be decisive for the outcome.
