HIFK 5 - 2 Tappara 1997-10-23

Tappara got in to the game with good skating and high forechecking. HIFK were caught with their guard down. As goalie Lundell gave up the second rather easily there were dark clouds at the rink, but luckily HIFK managed to equalise on both occasions rather quickly.

Caloun´ 1st proved to be the winning goal. As it was scored directly after playing against the-man-advantage it cracked the back-bone of Tappara.

Apart from the three stars we had an rather shaky presence on the ice from several players. The new Canadian defender Bob Halkidis got better after an in-impressive start and looks to add muscle to the defence.
