It was not a happy new year for HIFK in their home opener. Bad refereeing combined by stupid risky tackles resulted in three goals conceded against the man advantage in 6.27.
Obviously the game was played and the level of play showed some improvement later in the game, but bad finishing combined with brilliant saves from Toskala of Ilves ment the year started with a loss.
