Caloun (2+2) & Co outpace- immobile Tappara.

Tappara got well in to the game as #8 Janne Ojanen scored on a, well deserved, panalty shot early on. Tappara, who most of the time gave the critics right by looking like a bunch of old men, stayed well in the slow paced game for 30 minutes. In the end HIFK utilised their PP chances (3 goals) and got away with an easy two pointer. Tappara will need radical changes for next year.

+ Caloun 2+2, Rafalski 1+2 "worth their weight in gold"
+ Nieminen, improving game by game.
+ Nikko, finally, scores his 1st goal as Big Red Cat.

- Tuomainen, destructive with four(4)penalties
- "Kid line", Kalto-Ahonen-Hagman, inefficient and disorganized
- Defensive defenders, especially Siren, not coping again
