1 VS 0
Boring !
Jokerit 1 HIFK 0 1999-03-02
The only exitement yours truly got last night was when I boarded the train, without a valid ticket, out to the Arena. It might have been a local derby, but it was the EIGHT this season. No big emotions on or off the ice, despite a capacity (13665) attendance.
There is hope, though, as the 54 game transportation leg is soon ending and the real hockey begins (I wish).
Next game looks equally tough, as the near invincible TPS guest HIFK tomorrow Thursday. However as I´ve indicated above the last seven games of the regular season hardly will become sources of epic tales as very little can happen among the top four teams. At worst HIFK could end up #3, but most likely we´ll keep the #2 spot. #1 TPS is 8 points ahead with a game in hand so forget that scenario also.
Partly the disorganized HIFK was a reason of yet another reshuffle in the lines and defence pairings. We´ve got two proven combos Tuomainen-Nieminen-Mäkiaho and Hurme-Sihvonen-Caloun use them !
