We decided to skip most of the mens qualifying and turned up for the last bit of it. As soon as that ended there was an opening ceremony showing a film on a big screen, gave a delerious cheer for Nice, wheeeee ! Tried to persuade Sharps to sing 'O Canada' as I know she knows the words LOL !
Pairs short got under way after that and we went into 1000 times depressions for T&M when he stumbled. We were the only ones who cheered and stood up for them LOL, this would set the pattern for the rest of the week ;-)
Well, you've seen it all on TV I guess so enough of the skating ! Afterwards we went back to the Holiday Inn for a meal with Meghan, Dave and the Belgians. The bartender there kept forgetting our drinks and there was a round of applause from our table every time they remembered PML ! That was voidy, the staff there just made us PML It was packed when we went in there but we soon emptied the place They had to almost throw us out in the end, we got them to get us another drink after the bar closed though and I think they felt sort of obliged to because of the most hilarious service ;-) So that was erm, another 'quiet night' for me and Shaz ;-)
