Woke up in a total void to see Cruella leaving early to go and have breakfast with Jenny and then make their way to the Ods! Yay!
Um- We were not feeling too well so we only made the last 2 groups and missed the Brits!! But as luck would have it, Connie had picked up the banner and waved it for us. (Forgot to mention she made it and also rehung the FSU banner for us, unfortunately they were all high up because of Canadian POLITIK but Cheers Babes!)
Hmm Well I lurved L&T, FP&M didn’t look so ‘on’ that day with their pukka OD. Thought A&P should have had it. Luvved Marina’s ‘Out Babsing Babs’ dress and PMLed when they hydrobladed. As Cruella put it: ‘When in Canada….’
Also loved L&A – Especially the Charlies Angel hair! Wheeee.

But my favourite OD of all was from B&K!!!! At last I got to see them live! Totally pukka – Especially the fact that they were skating to Shirley Bassey! YAY! Only bit I didn’t like was he squat thingy at the end of the SBS step sequence as she got a lot lower than him and it looked a bit messy.
Didn’t appreciate the crowd booing L&A’s placement though.
Anyway- Sigh… we wandered around the arena and had some food with Emma Abraham. When we got back to our seats there was a message on my seat from Blades! LOL with his seat no and row. So during one of the early ice resurfaces we went down and shouted ‘DAVE!!!’ several times (deaf old bugger LOLOL) at a guy in a Hawaiian shirt. Made brief intros and arranged to meet him in the Hyatt at the weekend.
Um- Nothing really spectacular here to be honest- Yags didn’t really rock my world but I didn’t agree with those who said Todd was robbed. We were keeping an eye on Fran Buhman during Todd’s skate LOL. What combo did Todd do anyway? HA! No I haven’t watched any tapes yet LOL
Plushy was OK I guess – I think I was the only one in the building who didn’t give a standing O though LOL.
Um Stanick was disappointing but Sandhu ROCKED!! Voids- Tiffin- Toddstipation, all you want from a routine! Yay!!!
Ok so back to the hotel to Tiff up as usual after the medals and to the Hyatt- Yay! There was Mishy with 2 invites for the IFS Party! Wheeee!!! As Tara was wearing jeans, Cruella and I went up first to scope the joint out. Lots of people there and free drinks! Yay! We drank very quickly and feeling a bit voidy we went back down to the bar to scream at Tara to go and get changed as there was free booze! Wheee!!!
The Madam decided she was tired and decided to retire to her room, so while Tara was changing I went back up to the party with Meghan! Wheeeee! During this time they announced the ‘winners’ and we were acting like we were back at the rink ‘Yaying’ TTs nomination and Phillipe LOLOL.
Goes a bit voidy from here, hopefully someone else can fill in any gaps that I miss! LOL I remember leaving Meghan at the party smoking with Michael Rosenberg and went downstairs to collect Tara, Mandie and shells! Wheee (The doormen were our friends by then) We all deliriously filled up on free drinks and crab cakes and then felt like a mingle- LOL
I think the first person we harassed was John Zimmerman- We told him that it had been very close in the porny award stakes between him and PPT and told him the history of the award etc etc… He said ‘How do I get it next year?’ We told him he had to remain single and not marry Silvia until at least summer 2002! LOL – he agreed readily! PML!!!!
Then Zhulin! Yay! We didn’t confess to the earring incident LOL But we did talk POLITIK and Pasha with him and someone mentioned Usova and we all shouted ‘Old Witch’ and he LOLed and said Old Witch too! PML!! He liked B&Ks OD the best LOLOL
Then Mishy introduced us to Lois Elfman, IFS Editor. She was cool- She reads the boards and asked which one was the one that was crap at hoovering- She took a picture of us all in a void and we thanked her for the party – Even though we weren’t officially invited LOLOLOL
Then it was fabulous Sandhu’s turn to get attacked! Wheee! We told him he was voidy which he seemed to grasp the concept of straight away LOLOLOL – We told him he Tiffed it Pukka – We explained what that meant and he stated Tiffin about and shrieking ‘Im Tiffin! Im Tiffin!’ Wheeeee!!!!
Then we were harassing Tom Collins to come to Canada/England etc. And then all of a sudden it was last orders at the bar, so we each collected 4 drinks, drank them and back to the main bar, picking up our free IFS magazines on the way out YAY
So- Back down to the bar where I vaguely remember being introduced to my lovely tape trading pal Laura (lfergrace) and because we were so delirious we practically attacked her when we were all having a fag. I commented to Tara the next morning that it was shameful to have met someone for the first time while being in such a delirious free drink void- But she said ‘Yeah, but do you really think she would have been disappointed if we were anything but?’ PML! True!
So it was still time to party so Fabulous Dave swooshed us off in a cab to a voidy bar that he had found that was open all night called the Crime Lab! Wheeee! We smoked in there and had a voidy time, I believe this is the night that Jackson made an appearance, he was totally fabulous and camp but really I was in a total void. More about him on Saturdays report LOL The merry band of Tara, Me, Mandie, shells, Meghan and Dave walked a diagonal step sequence back to our respective hotels at about 4.30am! Wheeeee!
