Creating "Quick Connect" Files

"Quick Connect" files allow you to connect to your friends who have Static IP addresses (cable modem and DSL) without the need to remember their IP address, or ask them to send it to you, each time you want to connect to play.

To create a "Quick Connect" file:

  1. Open your Notepad program.
  2. Type in your friend's static IP address.
  3. Choose 'Save' from the 'File' menu.
  4. Type "name.app" in the "File name:" box, where "name" is your friend's name.
  5. Save the file to your cdrombb\online folder.

Now whenever you're going to play as the Visiting team against one of these friends, simply click the 'Browse...' button in the "Connect Dialog" box, highlight your friend's .app file in the "Select application file" box and click 'Open'. Your friend's IP address will automatically appear in the "Enter Host Name/Address" box. Click 'OK' and you're connected! No need to wait for your friend to send you his IP address when it's time to play.
