Acquired: Selected in the 1st round in the 1977 June draft.
Personal: Resides in Bellevue with his wife Loni. Graduated from Los Palos High in 1977. In high school he achieved All-American in football (1976) as a running back and baseball (1977). After being traded from Seattle to Boston he hit the dramatic homerun to help propel the Red Sox to the World Series. In all, Henderson played in the 1986, 1988, 1989, and 1990 World Series. After retirement from baseball, David returned to the Mariners as a broadcast announcer.
