Good game. Refs sucked as usual of course..one of the linesmen just stood there the entire time... Only about one real fight to speak of,kinda like a pile-up against the boards. Course most of our fighters were out....Krovo with his knee,Smirnov with knee,and idiotic Brubaker cut Jason... Yucky,speaking of Alexei..someone needs to tell that boy that dipping is bad for him! I'm surprised that the Civ Ctr let him do it in the stands. And now I'm going to go off about the Jason situation.......
In my opinion,Brubaker's an idiot. What happened was (if you didn't already know..),he put the players in a tight position and was counting on Utah to bail us out (by pulling two of our players up to the IHL). Instead,Utah said that they weren't going to pull any of our players up because they were having problems with their roster being full too. In turn,because a couple of the players got brought up from the IR list,there was no room on the roster,and a player had to be cut......but why it was Jason,I have no clue,and I totally don't agree with the decision. Jason gave everything he had to the team,and Brubaker turned around and slapped him in the face. And if you can't tell,I have a grudge against Brubaker....he publically questions his own players (ie. Greg),and backstabs them.... First Louis,then Jason...I'm thinking he has something against enforcers...watch out David and Jan...he may come after you guys next... I wonder what it would take to bring Christiansen (sp?) back............. Grr.
Anyways,back to the game. I don't remember too much of it cuz I was sick as a dog... I do remember though Kerri telling me to stay away from David so I wouldn't get him sicker than he already is (and yes,I obeyed!)....and I also remember that Kobezda kept looking up in the section I was sitting in and smiling/laughing...and I was really praying he wasn't laughing at me cuz I'd feel totally stupid then....
