Tiger Sharks vs. Birmingham Bulls

Well this was certainly a strange game.... First,late in the 2nd period,the lights in the Civic Center all of the sudden shut off,leaving it completely dark except for the lights from the outside concourse (sp?),the tiny lights along the aisles,and the spot lights. Then some back up lights come on,and you can see all the players looking around like "whoa..did the rapture just come??!" The announcer comes on and basically says "sit back and let the lights warm up people" and starts playing music,and LaGrand,Andy,and Cully all decide to have a seat....but not on the bench...on the ice by the goal posts.=) Actually,first it was Scott getting down on his knees,then flopping down with his legs spread and his hands inbetween and leaning up against a goal post (he looked so cute,just like a little kid or somethin who's bored out of his mind *s*),then Andy skates by and falls down-literally-kinda-beside Scott,and leans up against him and (from my point of view) put his head on Scott's shoulder to talk to/hear him,which was adorable because of how it looked.=) Then here comes Cully to join the fun,but he kneels for a while,then flops down like LaGrand. At this point I was laughing my head off.=) Then I looked toward the bench to see how coach is reacting,and what do I see but 5 guys lined up all sitting exactly the same way,sitting on the boards in front of the bench,facing out towards the ice,with their legs swinging. For guys that were just 5 minutes ago swinging their sticks around like madmen,who woulda thought they'd be so cute...=)
Second,6 seconds left in the same period,we score...and for no reason I saw,Bailey (the Bulls' goalie) and #26 of the Bulls attacked Smirnov! Later I found out that Bailey was saying that Pavel interferred with him while he was in the corner getting the puck,keeping him from getting back to his crease...which was untrue. Even if it was,it doesn't justify going after him. And #26 was just a jerk...he speared Pavel first in his injured knee,then in the groin...and then one of them shoved Pavel into the ice..then of course,"brawl" starts up...short story:Bailey gets in one of the refs face and is yelling...meanwhile,the crowd is acting like 50 years ago,completely getting into it and while the refs are sorting everything out,we start chanting "Baaaaiiillllleeeyyyy" over and over-we want him OUT of there! One of the linesmen comes up and takes him by the arm,and he starts skating towards the penalty box-wrong direction! He is outta there!!=) And what does the guy do,raises his arms calling for more sound,then kisses off about 3 times before he goes off the ice. Penalties from this-Bailey:10 minute misconduct (before he causes trouble for the refs,then he gets a game misconduct-if I remember right);#26:2 minute roughing (this guy got off *easy*,he should've gotten Pavel's penalty and vise-versa);Pavel:game misconduct (for what I don't know!-he didn't do anything that called for that...)
