FIVE YEARS AGO: April 27, 1994
Bring on the Capitals! Washington eliminates second-seeded Pittsburgh in
six with a 6-3 win at the Cap Centre. As the lowest remaining seed,
Washington gets to play the top-seeded Rangers. And while Washington has
been a playoff jinx for the Rangers, at least they are nowhere near as
talented as playoff jinx Pittsburgh.
Meanwhile, the Sabres' Dave Hannan scores in the fourth overtime to send
their series with the Devils to a seventh game.
