1997 4A Girls State Runners-up: Watauga
The girls team from Watauga High School continued their tradition of excellence by placing second to Cary. Watauga has won 4 girls state championships in cross-country (1995, 1992, 1990, and 1985), and had one state individual champion, Addie Bower in 1994. To photo of Watauga boys
