The Boston Bruins selected Glen in the first round (18th overall) of
the 1991 Entry Draft. He made his debut with the Bruins in 1991-92, scoring
three goals and one assist in five games. In 1993-94, he played his first
full NHL season, tallying 18 goals and 13 assists in a career-high 81 games.
On Aug. 1, 1995, he was traded with Bryan Smolinski and a 1996 third-round
draft pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Kevin Stevens and
Shawn McEachern. With the Penguins in 1995-96, Glen scored 14 goals and
15 assists in 69 games. On March 18, 1997, he was traded to the Los Angeles
Kings for Ed Olczyk. In 1997-98, Glen tied his career-high 81 games, scoring
career-bests with 29 goals (including seven on the power play, three shorthanded,
and seven game-winners), 31 assists, and 60 points. Through the 1997-98
season, he played in his 300th NHL game. In 1998-99, Glen scored 16 goals
and contributed 15 assists in 61 games.
Glen played three seasons with Sudbury of the OHL prior to beginning
his professional career. From 1989-92, he scored 72 goals and 113 assists
in 182 games. In 1991-92, Glen posted career-bests with 37 goals, 47 assists,
and 84 points in only 54 games. He played 48 games with Providence of the
AHL in 1992-93, registering 30 goals and 26 assists.
Glen resides in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, during the off-season.
