Welcome!  Here are some pictures of a unique season in professional sports, the National Football League's 75th anniversary.  During selected games, teams would wear the uniforms of their past.  Some teams wore those uniforms voluntarily, as the San Francisco 49ers did for almost the entire season, including the Superbowl.  Enjoy your stay, and please, feel free to contribute to this site!

The National Football League has again dressed teams in throwback uniforms.
For Thanksgiving 2001, both games were played in classic throwback uniforms.
Hopefully, this will carry on as a rich new tradition for years to come...
