Places we like to fly

Listed here are some of the local places where we like to fly. You just may find a Wind Climber or two at any of these locations.

  1. Rim Park , in Waterloo has become our regular flying spot. The large open area allows single dual and power kiters to fly with lots of elbow room!
  2. Puslinch Lake , in Cambridge is a favourite place to fly during the winter freeze. The frozen ice becomes a play ground for all sorts of traction activities.
  3. Dumfries Park, in Cambridge is located right off highway #24. It is a lovely large open park with a "new" Tim Horton's near by! Note the gates are locked during the winter season but you can always park on the road and walk in.
  4. University of Waterloo is another great spot as there are several open fields to fly on. Columbia Ice Fields near Columbia Lake is the exact campus location we fly at.

Other place we might fly at include Kiwanas Park, Kitchener, Becthel Park, Kitchener and Riverside Park in Cambridge.

Are Buggies & Surfing your thing? Maybe you want to practice your most recent Stunt kite routine on the beach. Maybe you like to just get on that high way and head out of town. Below are several locations that require a little more travel time but are well worth the drive!

  1. For Fathers day many travel to Wasaga Beach . In the off season others will just go up to cruise the beach when sun bathers are a little more scarce.
  2. Another popular spot for buggies and surf is Sauble Beach Early spring and late fall are ideal times to buggy the beach or surf the water.
  3. Oliphant (Near Sauble Beach)has become a favorite spot when wind direction is bad at Sauble or people just want more room to navigate.
