The first time I saw this amazing gymnastic angel was in the 1992 Summer Olympic games, which was held in Barcelona, Spain. I fell in love with Tatiana the minute I saw her. The attraction that I felt was stronger magnet, gluing my attention onto her adorable face, and preventing me from even blinking my mesmerized eyes. I was fascinated by her grace and her delicant style, which presented themselves clearly in her performance and won her a well-deserved, in-your-face Olympics Champ title.

After the Olympics, it was discovered that Roza Galieva, whose position Tatiana replaced that ultimately win Tatiana the gold medal, faked her injury. Innocently, Tatiana was blamed as being part of this conspiracy. As the result, she was stigmatized for the rest of her career with this conspiracy, whose effect was so profound that it shattered the tremendous honor of being an Olympics Champ and destroyed her great image as the best gymnast in the world.

In my opinion, Tatiana's infamous image after the Olympics was channeled from the anger of the United States media when they saw their all-time favorite, Kim Zmeskal, stumbled on the beam. As the result, Tatiana, an unsung heroine whose skills surpass many, did not receive as much recognition and fame as she deserved. This page is a tribute to her great career as a gymnast. More importantly, however, it's a dedication to her, a person who has heard many unpleasant ridicules and seen many disgusted faces, yet still keeps her head up, a person who has overcome many obstacles, a person whose skills are unmatchable, whose strength is unspeakable, and whose beauty is irresistable! Tatiana should be admired and respected by all gymnasts.
