Her true (??) story.

For those who watched the movie "A Promisse kept: The Oksana Baiul's story", please, don't believe that all the facts there are true.. The movie shows that, she lived with her mother after her grandmother died and then her mother died too.. But, actually, before her mother die, she re-mairryed and Oksana liked her new husband, since Oksana doesn't remember her true father. but, then, she got an audition with the greatest soviet (in that time) coach Galina Zmievskaya, and she moved to the little city of Odessa and lived with a few friends. She was felling a little orphan and abandoned, but, Galina told her to live with her, and then Galina and Viktor Petrenko (1992 olympic gold medalist and Galina's student) became her "mother" and "brother" and they gave a new skating style to Oksana (of course, without Oksana's talent that help wouldn't be nothing..). Oksana became the 1994 olympic champion and her face adorned lots of magazines cover and newspaper. But, strange things happened and she abandoned Galina and now is training with another coach.. She had a car accident, she almost lost her life with it, she fell in alchool dependence.. But, Oksana is much more strong than much people could believe and she got a new look, style and powr and now she is back, ready for a new life.

2002 winter olympics...

Yes, Oksana is planning to compete in the 2002 winter olympics! This is a very good idea, if Katarina Witt could compete at the 1994 winter olympics, why Oksana can't compete too? Some people thinks she has no chance in this next olympics but, those people doesn't know Oksana's inside power and this skater is much more strong than many other skaters.. I think she has chances! :o)
