It's a Knockout Day June 26th 2000
Operation: Bring Back IAK
I have decided that 26th June 2000 will be the inaugural 'It's a Knockout Day'.
Why that date, you ask? Well, to be honest there are no better reasons than:
I don't know of any dates significant to IAK other than 'the 80's'
It is coming up soon
I think that the level of interest in IAK has been stirred up through the web site
is sufficient to allow a strong message to be sent to Channel 10
It is my birthday (I'm indulging in my pre-eminent megalomania)
What's It About?
It's a Knockout Day provides an opportunity to remember the greatness of IAK and
share with your friends and family memories of the show. You can even visit The
It's a Knockout Web, if you wish! It is also the day on which IAK fans unite to bring
IAK back to TV!
Bringing IAK Back
This is what YOU can do to bring IAK back (if you are serious, that is):
Get friends and family to help (I suggest five or more people, but don't feel guilty if
you only get three or so!). Feel free to use Internet friends.
Each write a snail-mail letter i.e. pen & paper (NOT e-mail) to EACH of the following addresses, irrespective of
where you live:
Programming
TEN Sydney
1 Saunders Street
Pyrmont NSW 2009
Programming
TVQ-10 Brisbane
Sir Samuel Griffith Drive
Mt Coot-tha QLD 4066

ADS-10 Adelaide
125 Strangways Terrace
North Adelaide SA 5006
In your letters, politely ask for IAK to be put back on TV
Do not request any other shows or anything else
Do not mention this web site
Once you have sent the letter, e-mail me to advise me of this (so I can get an idea of how
many letters are required for future lobbies, if required)
Do it on June 26th, so we can hit them with a barrage of mail. If circumstances prevent you from writing
on that day, you can send the letter on the following few days.
If you only write one letter, write it to Melbourne, I think they are the HQ. There are also some affiliate stations,
see http://www.ten.com.au/tenstations.asp
Cross your fingers.
