The Tweedle Dee Tweedle Dum course. The team with the most water in their measuring cylinder (foreground) after three minutes won. The water was taken from the large tubs using buckets, and the buckets were discarded after each filling, necessitating traversing the obstacle course again. Riverland (physio Bob Sellars) came out as the surprise winner (Bob himself was not surprised apparently), with Portland (Roger Trewavis) second with their joker. | ||||||||

The fourth event was 'Head Waiter', a four team separate event. The 'waiter' had to get around some tables as quickly as possible while an opposition team shifted the floorboards by pushing around attached chairs. | ||||||||

Buoyed by Kathy van Veldhuisen (well, not literally; the buoyancy was provided by the pontoon), Portland were able to utilise their superior balance, surf-lifesaving experience and swimming ability to take out the event. Newcastle finished second. | ||||||||

Going into the final event (Telephone Call), David Rankin indicates the position in which he
believes his team will finish for the night. Newcastle still had their
Joker in hand, which they were to use for this event. They planned to use the formidable Rankin-Brown
