Pontoon Pileup -- 'stacks on the mill' in bathing suits on a pontoon. Teams paddled through the water
in a race against the other teams. Several laps of the big pool were required, with increasing numbers of
team members piling on (even the reserves were employed). In case you were wondering, that isn't a rebel

Since it was a four-team simultaneous event, Pontoon Pileup was used as a final, deciding event.
That's Frankston being lapped. When Ricky May was consulted for an official
result (well after the first two teams had finished), he said "I want the blue guy to win!", and the screen
flashed back to Frankston, who were still paddling with futility. |
