Frankenstein, a much loved event in RMIT student magazine editor circles, involved Frankenstein's monster (an opposition team member) chasing Alice in Wonderland. Alice (whose ankles were unfortunately chained together) had to hop around the astroturf planting as many flowers as she could before the monster crash-tackled her. |

'Spin Out', aka a 'storm in a teacup', a classically original event came of age with the inspired brilliance of Michael Jordan, captain of Hawkesbury. Jordan taught Box Hill captain Sam Daniels a hard lesson in this event. Fiona McDonald suggested that his freaky mastery may have been due to his black-belt tae-kwon-do training. (!!??) The two-heat-and-a-final event involved a guy and a girl in a large cup floating on the big pool. The guy had to pull on a rope attached to the far end of the pool while the girl spun the cup with a paddle. As the cup spun, the guy had to hold the rope over his and the girl's head. The idea for the guy to wear a sailor's cap was fatally flawed, as a result. |
