NHL
1997: won the King Clancy Trophy. This is awarded to the NHL player whom shows the greatest amount of leadership and humanitarianism in his community ;
voted the recipient of the Gillette World Champion award. The prize is $50,000 , half of which is donated to charity(s) of the winners choice.
1988-89 season: June 8, 1989, voted Hockey News Rookie-of-the-Year ... second in the voting for the Calder Trophy (Brian Leetch won).
